Jay rejoined CFG in early 2016. His 30-year career in financial services has included stints at global banks in capital markets trading, sales and management. He has originated and sold venture and later stage private equity investments. He also designed and implemented foreign exchange trading systems for banks and software vendors.
Jay began his career as an FX trader in Charlotte for NCNB, the predecessor to Bank of America. He has worked for British Petroleum, Citibank, Société Générale, Integral Development, Jadwa Investment Riyadh, Morgan Stanley and US Bank. Following graduation from Miami University in Ohio, Jay became a Peace Corps Volunteer in Oman where he led a successful trachoma eradication program.
While working as an Institutional Salesman at Jadwa Investment in Riyadh, Jay became Treasurer and Vice-Chair of the American Business Group in Riyadh, the US Chamber of Commerce affiliate in the Middle East. The primary task for this organization is to educate the US Congress on the matter of International Territorial Taxation and its affect on US exports. He travelled to Washington twice to participate in this lobbying effort, visiting with over 60 Members of Congress.
He is married with two children and lives in the Chicago suburb of Lake Bluff.
