Joe Adipietro is an experienced capital markets professional who has spent nearly 20 years as an investment banker and leveraged loan structuring and syndication specialist. Joe has executed over 85 debt financings representing in excess of $35 billion of capital raised for both public and private companies.
Joe has significant experience arranging both cash flow and asset-based loans. The industries in which Joe has transaction experience include retail, consumer products, energy, health care, metals & mining, chemicals, automotive, transportation, aviation, distribution, waste services and telecommunications.
Joe joined Carolina Financial Group early in 2016. He will be acting as a generalist investment banker responsible for business development and deal sourcing principally in the Northeast region. He will also focus on originating, structuring and placing debt financings for companies in a variety of industries. Joe’s specific area of expertise is in complex debt structures and also situations which require an asset-based tranche.
Prior to joining Carolina Financial Group, Joe spent a number of years investing personally in corporate credit and equities. In addition, Joe completed several capital markets related consulting assignments including a stint at BlackRock Solutions in New York, Ireland and the UK.
Prior to this, Joe was a Managing Director at CoveView Advisors in Stamford, CT where he provided capital raising and advisory services to middle market companies. Prior to CoveView, Joe worked as a Managing Director in the Syndicated Loan Group at Credit Suisse Securities in New York. In this role, Joe structured and arranged leveraged loans for private equity firms and corporate clients. Completed transactions included leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, refinancings and recapitalizations and rescue financings. While at Credit Suisse, Joe founded the middle market/asset-based lending business in 2003 and grew annual revenues to $40 million in 4 years.
Prior to Credit Suisse, Joe was a Vice President in the Senior Debt Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York. In this role, Joe structured and executed cash flow and asset-based loans for private equity sponsors. Prior to this, Joe was a Senior Associate in the Asset-Based Finance Group at Citicorp Securities in New York where he focused on asset-based financings for middle market companies.
Joe began his career as a management consultant at Accenture in New York where he designed and developed information systems for corporate clients. After Accenture, Joe was a project manager and consultant for Bond Technologies in New York where he focused on developing information systems for companies in the financial services sector.
Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science and an MBA in Finance & International Business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Joe is married and lives with his wife and two sons in Westport, CT.
