Roger Brook - Managing Director - Raleigh, NC

Roger joined CFS’s investment banking practice in 2014.  Roger has worked with private companies and entrepreneurs for the past 20 years as an investor, banker, advisor, and in various operating roles. His clients have been across a number of industries, including technology, distribution, manufacturing, infrastructure, property, retail, and business services. Roger is a graduate of Duke University and from the University of North Carolina MBA School.

Earlier in his career, Roger held various finance, planning, and operating roles with GE Capital, Capital Insights, and Transamerica Mezzanine. He has a long history of underwriting, structuring and managing equity, debt, and alternative investments for institutional and high-net worth investors. Roger has also served on a number of Boards on behalf of his investors.

More recently, Roger and two partners founded and operated Japan Venture Partners. Japan Venture Partners was a founding investor and banker for Japan Wealth Management KK, which was one of the first boutique wealth management firms in Japan. The firm also represented a number of U.S. and European technology and health care companies in transacting business throughout Asia.

Roger and his family live in Raleigh. He stays busy with three teenagers, is a founder of two web businesses that support nonprofits and local food businesses, and tries to find time to travel, play golf, and photograph small town architecture.
